first thing this morning ... after dropping my kids off at school .... i went to my studio and had a yellow morning .... but not on one of my usual canvases... instead, in a journal ....
nitty gritty details of that journal can be found here ... it's way a groovy cool thing, that journal ....
then i went to my pottery class ... which was far more about being with two girlfriends than doing pottery .... i picked up 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 pieces ... really... seven ... and then i threw away 2 ... really 2 .. in the trash ... plop plop .... but then one of those same pals? went to the trash and retrieved them ... absolutely forbade me to throw them away ... har! she told me i HAD to reglaze them .... blech ... i like making things out of wet clay ..... glazing? not so much .... reglazing? not at all ! .... we'll see how long i can ignore those two hideous plates of ceramic hideousness before i just have to throw them away again ....
and now... a pause from this irregularly scheduled art blog ... with a little hip hooray ... my tennis season starts tomorrow ... and i'm paired with my best pal (even though we don't play that well together cause we just can't stay serious .... we'll work on that this season) .... so ... art in the afternoon tomorrow ... cause i've got to work on that journal .... rah! ....
ok ... i was done posting and then decided it was a weak effort blog .... hey, e? why aren't you doing art more? why aren't you blogging more? ..... rental house, renovation, sick kids, snow day, spring break packing and planning .... so many interruptions to the artsy life! ... so it goes!
pictures tomorrow! not of tennis either! some artsy endeavor or other ... just not that hideous plate!
make anything hideous lately?

So if my calculations are correct, you are out on the courts right now! And I bet you are having beautiful weather... we had a gorgeous past two days (while I sat in my office ... wah!)
I haven't done a thing lately. But I did discover that one of my hand-made pendants broke while in my purse. I mean, I made it. And I've made them for others and now I'm thinking, shoddy craftsmanship!
So, I have to come up with a way to secure that thing so it doesn't come apart.
Maybe a combination lock or something.
