need a lemon?

need a lemon?
Originally uploaded by eeeee.
my deadline was midnight tonight.....and it is 9.15...not bad......
i had a day of vbs.....
took the kids to the pool.....
stole an hour or two and did ART.....
pawned off dinner onto sweet husband so i could finish this....
ate family dinner......
searched high and low and high and low and again...searched high and low....and finally found all the camera paraphanalia i needed to take the picture and get pics sucked out of the camera and onto the computer! ......i know, i know, if i had unpacked when i got home, things would be easeir to find! .......

so.....deadline painting group......gastronomy was the subject......in my mind i knew it was something food....was it edible? delicious? .......not sure this really fits in a gastronomy challenge....but you get what you get.....

i had loads of ideas for this...but just couldn't get any of them working for me......i was actually abandoning my deadline work to do some soothing monopoly flowers when it struck me that i could do some fruit and do art that soothed my soul AND fit into the eat it category....more or less?

anyway.....stolen art minutes can be glorious.......

this piece is now sitting in my family room....high up on the ledge next to the landing of the stairs...where i SEE it every time i look up to watch *so you think you can dance* ......can you tell what that orange vase is? i was happy when i came up with that......and then just dictionary lemons wasn't enough...so i added some bingo berries.....if you aren't getting a great enough view, click on that bit that takes you to flickr and you can do closeups.....

tra la la......anyone want some lemonade?

the vase is 3 of the monopoly cards -- the ones with the little guy in the suit!
