.... i have a stat tracker ... a little piece of internet magic that tracks who comes and visits my blog ... things like new visitors and return visitors.... (jeannie, you are the only person i really recognize 'cause you come the most! i love you! ) .... where you live.... how long you stay .... no names though, no way to know egg-zactly who you are ... that'd be cool if it did say that ... anyhoo .... it is funny to see who stumbles across my blog ... and sometime i know what google search they found me on .... or whose blog they clicked to me from ..... some dear soul in lima, peru, that apparently reads english, pops up as a return visitor .... hello, lima! you've never left a comment ... i'd love to hear from you!! ... if you are a blogger... and you don't have a stat tracker ... i've tried a couple different ones .. at the bottom of this page in the margin you can click on my current one, which i like, and attach one to your page ... it is easy peasy .... and fun to see what far flung places folks are coming to visit from ..... 
today, in the u.s.a. (for those of you who are reading from afar... hi malta....) it is president's day ... which was perfect.... cause a short bit ago, my twins had to memorize all the presidents in order ... and this weekend they worked on power point presentations of particular presidents ... drew had bill clinton.... julia had chester arthur .... you can't even believe how much i know about chester arthur ... and i'm pretty sure that if you'd asked me a month ago, who is chester arthur? .... that i would not have known who he was .... a linebacker? oh .. a shortstop .... historical? oh..... british prime minister ... yup ... he's a u.s. president, and at the moment i'm not necessarily smarter than my fifth graders .. but i am desperately trying to keep up .....
WOW ... that was a long winded aside .....
this is what i meant to say:
today, in the u.s.a., it is president's day.... so my kids didn't have school .... so i wasn't sure i'd get in any art ... but i did! rah!
i worked on four backgrounds .... three, pictured in this blog , are ready for their foregrounds .... and i have plans for two of them ...the third? no clue! ..... the fourth is the commission piece that i have finally gotten a good start on ....
did you do anything artsy this weekend? or just post and tell me what little flag on my map is yours...indiana? california? canada? uk? thanks for stopping by ....
