.....it's a green thing ....

so .... my studio is in a bit of disarray ... the last dozen or so projects that i have undertaken have been poorly tidied upon completion ... so it goes .... instead of filing away painted papers as i finish up with them, i've just started piling them up on the end of my table ... at least they are organized by color ....
my last HUGE studio tidy and rearrange, i made my work table out of three long tables rather than just two .... so now it is nine feet by six feet .... pretty good, huh? i'm pretty sure i could have a 20 by 20 foot table and have no problem filling it up with projects in the process .... it just means i could procrastinate more things simultaneously .... the second pic here, it's just a close up of the papers i've been painting and using in recent collages .... i always make extras .... making more for me to clean up ... but giving me a ready supply for smaller pieces .....
and the last pic is a pile of green joy .... green happiness ... green green green .... my deadline painting group on flickr does a once a month theme ... this months theme is greeeeeeeen ..... hence the pile of green .... if you could only see all the brain power that had gone into the green, then you'd be really impressed ... what's that inspiration and perspiration quote .... clearly i'm still on the one percent ....
bear with me on the sporadic blogging ... next week i'm sure to be painting .... all three kids are in camp all week ... so at least a couple of those days i should be able to squeeze in some studio time ... let's just hope i don't spend the time cleaning instead of painting ... that would be bad ....

have you painted anything lately?

I've been trying to organize while I'm in a bit of a creative slump.

(Interestingly enough, the word verification for this comment is "diastr", which is so so so close to another word. Hmmmm.)

does dreaming up house addition count? plans are all in my head, but i'm sure i could doodle something up once i stop shifting walls in my head and dreaming up a new master suite.

I'll bet you could fill up all the tables you could fit in there. Great to have painted papers all ready to go.

You never have a very messy work space....maybe the surrounding area might be less than tidy, but don't most of us do better in slight chaos?
Worked on four paintings today and none finished but well on way with a few new ideas dreamt up on way to Center Place to work. lots of lifting and stamping with what I lifted.... now drying on studio floor.
Went to Joann's to get "stuff" to decorate a hat for a tea I am going to 6/27.........To support a friend who is running for honorary mayor of Brandon. we have a table for 8....hope they do not kick us out for unladylike behavior at a tea! We can get rather rowdy!

hotter that you know what here....high 90s daily...very little rain relief.
I am sending a gal at Center Place your flckr address etc. as she wants to to buy some sort of painting for the nursery she is preparing for her baby to be.
