oh!!!!
no art today ....
not a single tiny titch of art!
i am totally resting on my laurels of finishing those hundred canvases for the year ..... plus i had tennis in the morning ..... which made me busy ... but my partner and i won .... so i'll rest on those laurels too!

so.... do me a favor ... go read this old blog post ..... i read it and can hear me talking and thinking ... and now i know what i didn't know then ....like i know about nests .... and i know six inch small canvases don't torment me anymore! .....

now, go study those 100 canvases in this flickr set ..... tell me your favorite ... tell me the one that you think is out there and not cohesive in the group .... tell me which one you wish was hanging in your kitchen ... bedroom ... bathroom .... um..... garage? really, tell me anything you want about those 100 ... oh .... and tell me what i should reprise in my next big piece .... clearly i haven't thought this out ... give me advice .....help me know what to do artsy wise for the rest of the year .... tell me whatever you want and i will enter you in a contest for a piece of art ..... ok ... a contest .... make sure i have a way to contact you ..... or check back , huh?

i'll just be happy 100 girl til tomorrow ... and then i'll move on to 101 ....

Your art is unique--and I like it. All of the canvases are lovely, but I especially like the turquoise group with the word printed along side.

I wonder if it's possible for the luck fairy to visit twice ... just in case ...

favorite (at least tonight) is a toss up between golden pear 4 and mona's heartstring, but big fish could make it a three way tie ... too hard to decide.

not cohesive - although quite brilliant, DPG abstract doesn't seem to fit the rest (in my eyes, at least)

I would love to see you do a series of little canvases of fishies (bottle cap type and painted lovelies alike)

I am truly impressed and SOOOOO very inspired by your resolution and already surpassing it - wow. Thank you for sharing all of this with us. :)

Love your art and your blog. My fav of the 100 would be the ones with poppies. Flower on Turquoise is great as is Map Poppies. Congrats on meeting your resolution so early in the year. What will you do next? Other fruits besides pears, or what about veggies?

Yep I like the map poppies, too:

I think they are all great and think that they all go very well together, the only that may not exactly fit is the ice cream cone but it's still very good and representative of your work.

I'd like any one of them in my house!!

Someone already said the map poppies. I think you should explore poppies more. Its the CA State flower and all.

I've always liked the pears and the fish seems so newish and fresh.

Just pick on, any one, and send it to me. I'll be happy.

Darla - in the Poppy State.

The pears always pop.
DPG abstact caught my eye.
I like the big scabble board with the branch and nest and word "nest" played on the board.
The poppies are beautiful...but then I'm a child of CA, too and orange poppies were my favorite flower growing up----although you couldn't pick the state flower.
I like the ME looking border on small heartstrings.
BTW---I have a mini yellow poppies that I'm enjoying right here next to my computer---THANKS!

That's cruel...making us choose one favorite of your 100! They are all grand! But, because there just might be a prize for my effort of narrowing it down...I will!

DPG without a doubt! rhere are a couplw which stand out as very individual and do not have much link to any others, but that is part of your style ad originality1

WHAT an awesome accomplishment! Congrats! I'm going to go Flickr out, and I'll be back.

are you KIDDING?! How can I pick my favorite?!

Okay, I love them all, but I think simply because I tend toward non-representational, I like DPG Abstract the best. But only by a scintilla of a fraction. They are so fab. I love the nests, and I think of those I like your earliest one the best. But I also like the nest suspended out on the end of a limb. I can't remember the name of it.

If any of them seem not to fit with the others, I would say the angel ones, because they are the only human-like features, but really, those are wonderful, too, and keep the whole thing cohesive.

I can't WAIT to get mine in the mail!!

oh.

well, even if you aren't giving them away, they're still neat-o.

Hey, thank you so much for your generous comment to me, and it is SO helpful!
I looked for your email inyour profile, and I see that you're a shameless reality TV fan...? I'm actually just finished the second season of Laguna Beach, which I never saw. So I'm obviously into 'reality' tv. Those kids are almost thirty years younger than I !

I would love the giant fish. It would only fit in my great room but I would love it in here.
I am really intrigued by your questions - my observations of the 100 are this: love the 2 with lavendar/purplish backgrounds -interesting....especially the night scene one...
ALSO, I like the fruit alot - that red pair/pear one is cool -- so maybe fruit in unconventional colors?
more fish? I really like the fish but that is just me

I want "the joy of pears". It spoke to me. I CAN SEE IT IN MY FAMILY ROOM. I've been trying to imagine what life will be like for my husband and I when the kids are gone and I just think this is sweet. I would love to see you do more fish. A series of them would be cool!!!

oh my, so many so beautiful. i love the pears, the pair of blue birds, but i think i especially love the little blue egg that snuck up on me, peeked out of that little nest on that reddish background and said 'hello!'

i can see it on my bedroom wall, waking me up to a promise of the possibility of a new day every morning, and what surprises it may hold.

i hope i'm not too late!

i'd like to see bluebirds big....or the 3 yellow pears.

ooo, just caught sight of moon against purple! i'm not helping am i...
