my little.e.beck.artist is maturing so .... i'm considering giving her a razor for christmas this year .... the best bit of all is that she helped me address some of our christmas cards ... her handwriting is so earnest and dear and sweet and fifth gradey, that everyone should hope that their address is written by her ... alas, it isn't so ... i write much faster than she does ... but it sure was lovely to have someone to share the job with .... she just delights me ...

today's joy: stick on moustaches (you too can have them if your dollar store is as good as ours)
preparation: we went shopping for a family that our church told us about, that needs some life help ... that happens to be at christmas time ....
serenity: knowing that my kids understand helping others who are less fortunate ....
