anyway .... i was gone ...now i'm back .....and within SECONDS of being home, kristy ...from lola's gallery... called me ..... she has a booth at the slotin folk fest .... why was she calling? because she'd sold so much of my art she needed MORE ..... yippee for that, huh? i was scheduled to be at the folk fest in lola's booth tomorrow morning .... so, i'll just take some art OFF MY WALLS and get it there before the fest opens for the day ...... i'm not actually sure what she even sold .... but she asked for a three foot square piece and any long ones i have ..... yippee zippy hooray, huh?
i feel like i spend a lot of time thinking (not exactly worrying, but close) about what i'm going to do with all this art that i'm bent on creating .... but i guess so long as it keeps selling at a good clip, i won't have to think about it as much .... or, just let it take care of itself .... and eventually i'll figure out how much i need to make to have enough on hand .... but not too much ....
....and just to get you all the way up to date on my art life .....my next looming deadline is TWO four foot by six foot paintings ..... due before september first ....and ....if you scroll down in my blog? you won't see any pics of the works in progress....why? you ask..... because progress is slow at best ..... too much time on road trips and having grand-summer-hurrahs .... and not enough time in my studio ..... but soon ..... my kids start school on thursday ..... and then, a bit sadly, i'll have plenty of art time, just me and the dog ...... i'm a summer girl ..... i was bemoaning the start of school and got a bit of a talking to by mr.e.beck.artist .... he told me i needed a better attitude about school in front of the kids! .... that i couldn't act like the end of summer was the end of the world ..... i hope to get some art time in tomorrow afternoon .... but, at least, tomorrow i'll have some pics of the folk fest ......

end of summer=end of the world??? LOL You ARE funny! But really, I used to feel the same way when the kids were home. I loved them home all summer. I loved them making their own breakfasts at their own lazy summer time. I loved the activities, vacations, family visits and seeing them lay in the hammock reading books. (Everyone needs a hammock!). One good thing...summer always comes again next year! Glad you had a good one.
Yay on your art sales! Paint away, girl!!!
