i'm using vintage paper backgrounds ... and acrylic fluids for color ... more papers for the collage elements ... most of the papers i just pulled out of my stash of painted papers ... you know, the papers i painted and filed away to use later? well, later is now ....
and then i picked some favorite quotes ....
if you let me know your favorite quote (and it's not too long ... and it speaks to me) i'll put it on a canvas .....
i rearranged my studio today ... making more work space .... and painted quite a bit today .. which is unusual for a saturday ..... what did you do today? and what's your favorite quote?

what did I do Saturday? Finished cleaning one closet and started another! thought about what to do with a couple 22x30 starts on paper.....no decision yet! Decided a couple paintings were finished....good feeliing to know that I can make that decision. And decided to find some 6x6 canvasses and do three of them by three (nine all together) in abstracty geometric designs, each canvas different....Clear as a bell, huh? in goldy colors and taupes, mauybe silver too...who knows what will strike when I start!
Today, I thought about all the above again....this thinking takes time, you know.....
My Saturday was an erratic, random day...laundry (ugh), started a new scarf (yay!), almost burned dinner (but it was good) and re-organized my things for sale that if they sell could create a vast new space!
love your new pieces. How come no more etsy? although it's really none of my business......
It is hard to choose, they are all delilghtful. But I'll chose the yellow flowers with quote by Dante.
Many of my favorite quotes are too dark or sarcastic to hang out on a painting. Here's one I'm pretty sure you'll like 'cause I know you like the author.
"The earth laughs in flowers." e.e.cummings
Hey! That Sandburg quote is the one I have on my blog! Guess you know which one I love:)
"Today You are You, it is Truer than True, there's no one alive who is Youer than You." -Dr. Seuss
