orange joy

JOY post 9 ... cause it's the ninth .....

‎"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognize how good things really are." -Marianne Williamson

today's joys: ... gorgeous sunshine weather, christmas shopping without crowds, boy.beck.artist's basketball game (win, 50ish to 25ish) , dinner out with mr.e.beck.artist and the twin.beck.artists ....

preparation: wow, did i get some shopping done today! darest i say, i'm close to done? a bit on the internet, a bit out in the real world .... i've not got a single good idea for mr.e.beck.artist , but besides that i'm worry free now ....

serenity: no reading today which has been my chosen method of serenity lately .... but i did spend time in the car listening to christmas carols on a new radio station (all christmas out of new york) ..... and i did go on an extra long dog walk today since the weather was so gorgeous ... i guess, though i didn't have any grand serenity moments, it is worth mentioning that i didn't have unserene moments .... i had a casual, laid back happy kind of day .... never got around to emptying the dishwasher, but so it goes ....

happy shot of the day:

if you're a long time follower of my blog, you know about the orange christmas tree already .... if you are just happening by, now you know that my favorite color is orange (actually orange is tied with green ... but green is boring at christmas time, eh?)  .... i took this photo, then moved two laundry baskets, then snapped it again .... it's actually a good shot of what my house is to me ... bright and cheery and happy .... you can peek into my dining room too ... that's the green shade that is my favorite ...

tomorrow i am going to make some christmas ornaments, learn some geometry (exam week... active studying can include teaching someone else the concepts), read at a basketball practice .... and maybe take a child christmas shopping .... oh ... and maybe some baking .... that's too much ... i wonder what i'll leave out ....

here's wishing you a weekend as happy as an orange christmas tree ....
