tis the season for hot chocolate .....

JOY post 14

today's joy: ihop might be my favorite restaurant ... it's just always a happy place to go ....and what more can we ask of a restaurant .... 

i had hot chocolate ... i'm not a coffee or a tea sorta gal, but i LOVE hot chocolate .... this one was exceptional ...... no point of reference in that photo, but that cup is HUMONGOUS ....my best pal had a matching cup for herself .... 

preparation:  YES, i got two big gifts bought today ... metaphorically weighing me down big, not big in stature or price .... but i'd been planning on them ..... and had been putting it off .... so it was a nice relief to get them ... and even better, i came RIGHT home and wrapped them ... so now i have girl.beck.artist, boy.beck.artist, and little.e.beck.artist wrapped good gifts under the tree .... by "good" i mean not pajamas ... but something that will make each one happy ..... and maybe surprised .... i hope surprised .... i love christmas .... and wrapped packages ....

serenity: hmmm ... i'm blogging much earlier than usual .... and i've not had any focused serenity ... so right after this i will go sit by the christmas tree with my book ... by the green tree in the quiet room, not by the orange tree in the room where everyone is busy doing stuff .... so, you'll just have to take my word on eventual serenity today .....

these are the presents i wrapped ... three big boxes ... each with a smaller gifty on top .... with green ribbon to tie it up tight ..... shaking allowed ..... 

so, you're reading my month of joy .... where i'm working on being calm and easy going and happy ..... and it does make me more mindful of the joys of the season (even though it is exam week in my house)... how's your season going? do you have a gigantic list of things to do? or are you just taking things as they come? i've made (and lost) a couple lists ... but that's ok, right? and i want to send out a christmas card and letter .... but haven't started working on it yet .... but i will .... no worries ....
